The Maryland team is a member of the American Parliamentary Debate Association, which schedules tournaments on weekends throughout the school year. Tournaments begin on Friday afternoon and go through Saturday. Typically, there is one tournament each weekend north of New York City, and one south, for the convenience of the APDA member schools which are mostly located along the east coast. We usually attend the closer tournament (though not always), and sometimes send people to multiple tournaments on a given weekend. Contact the executive board to find out which tournaments the team has decided to attend. To sign up for a particular tournament, attend the preceding Monday meeting or email the executive board.

The team is also busy with practices and other events on campus, including public debates. To see our complete calendar, click here.
